No, they decided that two spot welded pieces of weak metal (too weak to hold the weight of the light) is the best way to mount this lamp, and since the metal was too weak, they decided the best fix was to include some crappy little wall anchors so you could perforate your ceiling to install this piece of junk. At the ends of this junky metal cross, are free floating bolts, that you have to adjust to fit the lamp because it would make way too much sense to secure the fasteners, so the installer is not fighting that overhead. Then, to make matters worse, you have to hang the shade to the fixture BEFORE installing the fixture, because the engineer designed this to be installed with a bolt and nut, which you cannot access once the fixture is installed on a ceiling. Honestly, if I were to figure out the worst design of a lighting fixture, this would be exactly what I would come up with. But have no fear, they include instructions, which will tell you nothing, so while you hang and unhang this fixture multiple times trying to understand the thought process of the moron that designed this, you will find unparalleled frustration and anger.

It's easier said than done. Installing the fixture was challenging as the instructions are limited and not at all detailed. It takes two people to install the light and is super frustrating.
